Goal setting study
“What is your goal for the day?” “Well, I thought I would start with finishing this bowl of cereal” My sister made a face at me. I had no idea that agreeing to letting her shadow me for the day was going to be so labor intensive on my part. At first, I was flattered when she told me that I was the subject of her “person I most admire” essay for her English assignment. Then she told me that she needed to follow me around for a day to compile her research. I thought that would be fine. I thought it would be, but she began the shadow the moment I woke up. She said that she was going to see how each and every one of my activities fit in with my basic plan of goal setting. I am still trying to get her to understand that the whole day fits into the bigger scheme and not each individual corn flake is selected for its maximum nourishment potential
