Auto insurance to be prepared

One thing I learned from eavesdropping was that there was no telling what questions my father would ask a potential suitor during the pre-date grilling he was famous for.  I was the youngest and I watched him interrogate every single date that my sisters’ had.  He even staged preliminary interviews with my brother so that he would be prepared for any questions that his date’s father might have for him.  There was no way of telling what my father might ask.  Fortunately by the time my turn came, my father’s reputation was well known and my dates were well prepared.  One was asked if he had auto insurance.  Not only was he insured, he had the current insurance card in his wallet, right next to his auto club card.  He was also prepared to answer questions about the proper amount of air should be in his tires and had a tire gauge at the ready to prove it.  This is the guy I wound up marrying.
